Welcome to www.iamsamantha.com. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Samantha Amarakoon’s freelance web development services.

By accessing this website and hiring my services, you accept these terms in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use this website or engage in my services.

1. Professional Services

Samantha Amarakoon provides professional freelance web development, UI/UX design, and branding services. All projects are executed based on the specific requirements agreed upon during the initial consultation.

2. Payment Terms

To maintain a transparent professional relationship, the following payment structure applies:

  • Upfront Payment: A non-refundable 50% deposit of the total project fee is required before any work commences.

  • Final Balance: The remaining 50% balance is due immediately upon completion of the project and prior to the final handover of the source code and live deployment.

  • Future Payments: While I currently do not process payments directly through this website, I reserve the right to integrate online payment gateways in the future.

3. Intellectual Property & Ownership

Once the final payment is cleared:

  • The client is granted full ownership of the website, including the visual design, text content, and custom source code.

  • Transfer of ownership includes the Domain Name and Hosting credentials (if managed by me during development).

  • I reserve the right to display the completed project in my professional portfolio for promotional purposes unless a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed.

4. Post-Launch Support & Maintenance

I strive for technical perfection. However, if any issues arise after the project is live:

  • Free Support Period: I provide a 7-day complimentary support period after the project handover to fix any bugs or minor errors.

  • Post-Support Period: Any changes, updates, or error fixes requested after the first 7 days will be subject to a reasonable service fee based on the complexity of the task.

5. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing all necessary information, assets (logos, images, copy), and feedback in a timely manner. Delays in providing these materials may result in a shift in the project completion date.

6. Limitation of Liability

Samantha Amarakoon will not be held liable for any consequential, indirect, or special damages arising out of or in any way related to the use of the developed website once it has been handed over to the client.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
